Device Security & Privacy Disclosure

At vSeeBox, transparency, device reliability, and the protection of user privacy are important principles of our business.

This disclosure explains the Android operating system used on our devices, how firmware updates are delivered, and the measures we take to help maintain a secure and trustworthy device environment.

Android Operating System

vSeeBox devices operate on Android-based platforms designed for smart TV performance, application compatibility, and everyday stability.

Current Model

vSeeBox V6 Max — Android 14

This Android version is selected to provide:

  • Reliable system performance

  • Broad application compatibility

  • Improved system stability

  • Support for modern Android features

Non-Rooted System Architecture

All vSeeBox products are delivered with a non-rooted operating system.

This means the system has not been rooted, unlocked, or intentionally modified to bypass standard Android security protections.

Maintaining a non-rooted system helps:

  • Preserve system integrity

  • Reduce unauthorized access to protected system functions

  • Limit unnecessary system-level modifications

  • Maintain a more controlled software environment

The device software environment is intended to follow standard Android security practices and help reduce risks associated with harmful or unauthorized applications.

Official Firmware Distribution

System firmware for vSeeBox devices is distributed through official Over-the-Air (OTA) update channels provided by the manufacturer.

Our firmware distribution practices include:

  • Updates delivered through official update channels

  • Firmware packages reviewed and verified prior to release

  • No unauthorized system modifications applied by our store

  • No unapproved third-party APK applications intentionally pre-installed by our store

These measures are intended to help customers receive devices with a clean, stable, and reliable software environment.

Security Checks & Responsible Distribution

As part of our commitment to responsible product distribution, we may conduct random security inspections on selected device batches before shipment.

These inspections are intended to help confirm that:

  • System software has not been unexpectedly altered

  • No obvious malicious software is present

  • No unauthorized system modifications have been introduced

  • The device software environment remains consistent with expected factory configuration

Security Monitoring

We also monitor publicly available security research, industry reports, and technical information related to Android-based streaming and media devices.

When relevant security information becomes available, we may:

  • Review the reported issue

  • Evaluate whether it applies to our products

  • Conduct additional device checks when appropriate

  • Follow manufacturer guidance regarding firmware or system updates

Our Commitment

Through these practices, we aim to maintain a responsible distribution process that prioritizes:

  • System integrity

  • Device reliability

  • User privacy

  • Secure firmware distribution

  • Responsible product handling
